On August 29th, I like to watch Amelie. Yes, the guy who loves Fight Club loves Amelie, too. Ain’t that innerresting?
I get, plainly, spoiled on my birthday by my wife.
This year, I got to drool over my gifts while we had crème brûlée and café au lait. The soundtrack to Amelie was playing. I got to watch all the trailers like I enjoy doing. And, I’ll say it: that’s a nice film for cuddlin.
My gifts from my wife were a star-shaped necklace made of recycled sea glass and the [then unavailable elsewhere] Library of America volume of Jack Kerouac. Awesome and delicious, like the treats we had the night before. And then I got to have a bratty birthday on the 30th…

I was checking that out at a shop last week — they changed the names back! :) I’m not sure which version this is, since they released it for the 50th with the other two new editions. I’ll have to check it out. Admittedly, I haven’t unwrapped the plastic yet;)

Late to the party, but Happy Belated. It sounds like you had a really nice time. Amelie is a fun film and yeah, it’s good for the cuddling.
