But the bikes that are out there seem to have changed a lot since the last time I had to buy one. I'm not looking to race or anything, just the "getting around" kind that I can use for the quick errand or when I want to get out of the house for an hour or two. Have you any suggestions as to what I should be looking for and where I can go that I won't be too horribly screwed? I tried truing my wheels last year. I got them straighter, but then when I rode for the first time, that made a lot of noise.
