I didn't know you could still buy Lava Soap. Wow.

I've never been hit in the face by a spoke before. Wow. Maybe you can now claim that your helmet saved you from death by spoke impalement.

My bike started popping the spoke opposite the one that had been replaced, and it always happened on long rides. I cut my losses and had the whole rim respoked, nad that solved the proble. I'm guessing the new spokes were just must stronger than the older ones.

Yeh, you don't realize how important those spokes are until you lose one. I've been bike shopping lately and was surprised to see so many bikes with fewer spokes in the wheels than I'm used to seeing.

Hoping to pick up an '08 Voyageur this week. Thanks for your advice a few weeks ago.

BTW, if Lava isn't handy, I use a combination of Comet and dish soap with just a little water. NOT something you want to do without adequate ventilation but it'll get the job done as well.

Lava is the stuff. Used it when I used to oil paint. It'll take ALMOST anything off.
