The windchill was -2 this morning when I left. Not counting the chill of riding downhill four miles to work. Not as cold as some parts of the country. But very very very cold for Maryland, where our summers are beastly. It was awesome. Read more.
Very cold herein Ann Arbor, mi. It was -10 deg F at 6 am when I went out for a walk. With the windchill it was -28 deg F. My nose hairs froze up!!! But, it was a bracing , and invigorating walk.
Did not see a single bicyclist yesterday or today in my part of town.
More power to you, Johnny!! :)
That’s freakin cold! It’s like 8 now without the wind, and I’m hoping it warms up a little to see Obama in Baltimore, but not enough for masses to brave and take my spot:)
Well, according to the TV footage on CNN and FoxNews, there seems to be huge crowds waiting to see the Pres-Elect.
Lots of enthusiasm, despite the cold.
BTW, the extreme cold here in Michigan is caused by a weather phenomenon called the Alberta clipper, when very cold air sweeps down from the Arctic Circle, down the frozen plains of Alberta, and hits the Mid-West before it finally dissipates in the Great Lakes Basin.
Let us know how the Obama visit goes after you get back from it.
:)
Yup, I made it:)
