This morning, there is a gorgeous bike and a coffee maker in my office. Since my helmet is still en route, I didn’t want to jinx the chance of my bike not being here after leaving it locked in my office all weekend by saying anything. Monday morning, here it is. Waiting for me. And my coffee maker, too.
Picked up/bought my bike Friday, with nice accessories and very friendly folks at the new bike shop. I’ll use some lunch hours this week to put on my fenders, lights, rack, computer and change the tires to the slightly wider ones I bought. When my helmet comes in, I’ll ride it home and, once again, start pedaling my ass all over town.
Sweet looking ride, Johnny – congratulations!
Nice bike, and a very nice helmet too. I have the same helmet in the lime-yellow color. So what kind of a coffeemaker do you have in the office? French press? Drip?
Thanks, Ryan!
Do you like yours? I liked the their designs, but I didn’t want to bake my heat in a black helmet (the ones I liked were all dark-colored). I figured that the orange is another chance to be seen:)
It’s an inexpensive drip-style maker. I have an army of French presses at home — if I had an electric kettle, I’d totally rock those at work.
Amazon had electric kettles and other household appliances on sale last week. Check them out- I bet they will also offer a July 4th sale
I like my lime yellow Nutcase helmet. Chose that color for reasons of visibility. I dont ride a bike too often these days, but I use it to rollerblade . Hopefully , next summer, I will be biking a lot more.
You Jamis bike looks great!! :)
Great to hear you are almost back on the bike!
And I think I do like the old style for the blog. The black looked cool… but in the long run didn’t cut it.
Looking forward to more biking stories.
Steven
Johnny, like Steven, I like the older, non-black background version of the blog better.
