When people comment that tiny children require mounds of stuff, they’re not fooling you. Grandma and Grandpa insisted on buying the crib and got them into the Escape before we could finish checking out with other stuff at Ikea. This is matched by the car-load of stuff we got for the shower, the car load on its way via online shopping and the car load from Target and Babies “R” Us. Wow.
I have a friend in my Church Congregation, who is a USArmy Ranger, who did 3 tours of Afghanistan before retiring, and coming to grad school. He and his wife have a pair of very healthy, and active 10 month twin boys. Theother day, while we were having dinner, he grumbled ( in a happy sort of way), tha t nowadays, he has to carry more stuff in his backpack to cater to the twin’s needs, than he used to carry while doinga combat tour in Afghanistan!!!!
the babies need their milk bottles, water bottles, toys, books, binkies, snacks, diapers, changing stuff like wipes etc. I have no experience with babies and small kids, and was amazed a t how many things they have to cart around to meet the needs of two 10 month old boys.
But, it is all good, i guess, and welcome to the joys of parenting.
Bets of luck to Mama and to you.
Score!
baby!! congrats, mate!!!!
Thanks, Sal! :)
Shyte, I should mention that my Dad’s in that photo. He looks damned good for his age, but that’s not me. I just realized that everything reads like it’s Mama and I in that photo. Mama’s not POLISH! :)
