Thanks for such a nice article as this would help one change one's opinions of erasable pens and dry erase markers.

Mine were just pocket notebooks when I started carrying them about two years ago, and I would keep a journal on the side. Now, though, they're largely functioning as my "journal" and "notebook" in one. I go through one every week or ten days! :) Frankie says I'm nuts to carry about personal stuff like that, but the way they fit in my left hip pocket, they don't seem likely to fall out of my pocket (watch that happen now, LOL).

Scout Books are nice! (Shh, but their paper is the best of any branded pocket notebook I've tried for pencils...)

I'm not a baseball fan, either (I prefer hockey), but I AM looking forward to my shipment!

This might be a silly question, but what do you use your Field Notes for? I suddenly find myself surrounded by them, each labeled with a different purpose (Wedding Planning/Vows/ Thrift Store shopping/To-do List...). They're addicting. And, yes, I also ordered the Scout books that you reviewed.

Thank you very much! I had the same problem as J, but I managed to find one that it did work on. It meant going forward and back with the arrows, but a minor inconvenience to solve a truly annoying problem!

Thanks, Ryan! I have to take some photos of the kitchen, which is pretty drool-worthy. :)
(though I don't like electric ranges, I like all the counter space!)

When I right click on the footnote anchor to change it to an endnote, the option you say will be available 3 up from the bottom, doesn't appear anywhere in the list of options. Is there another way of getting to it? Thanks

Very stinky and some in jest and some stinky-in-jest. : )

It's stinky more often than not, leading me to wonder why we maintain contact with some of the people we do, even if we're related.

We try to vary how annoyed we get depending on who's saying it, (giving it), but it is -- at times -- constant enough to get easily lumped together into general "I am tired of people today" feelings. Those are times I wish I had to car to run over people's feet (but that's too violent for my temperament, probably). : )

"We do – and have – gotten a lot of shit from people for going car-free, for being less than eager to move into a house, for being vegetarians, for our education/career choices."

From who?
Your friends?
How much shit and how malodorous?
Or flushing the analogy for clarity
is it good-natured shit, teasing, razzing
or what have you, or rather is it closer to bilious rancor,
venomous criticism?
Hey! YOU! Get with the program!
What's the motivation behind the shit?

Just asking, 'cause the answer might
indicate how much one should listen to
the shit givers, no?

Thank you..I am so sick of hearing about redshirtting...mumsy's precious little one needs to be a leader, and is socially not ready....what 4-5 year old is socially ready?? They are KIDS!! My daughter was born in late October, and we are proudly sending her off to Kindergarten...she is excited to go, and there is no way I would clip her wings because of some silly trend. Unfortunately she will be in school with kids a whole year older than her because their parents wanted to give their kids "a leg up"..but oh well. This whole thing REALLY pisses me off...follow the cut off dates people, and put a little faith into your child!
